Preili is a city in Latvia. It is also center of Preili District. Preili is one of the oldest settlements in Latvia. It's first mentioned in written sources in 1250. By 1897 Preili had population of 2104. Preili has city rights since 1928. |

In the town of Preili (south-eastern part of Latvia) within 200 km from Riga there is a neo-gothic manor house that once belonged to the count Borch family of German descent and used to be a wonderful dwelling-place surrounded by a romantic ancient park.
